Or maybe it is just a user interface, that don't fit in with your preferences and needs.

It's not just my opinion people I know who have bought one say the same.

These two guys (Normann/Beroli) don't seem to agree on that!

Ok, Lee and Peter will be probably have to go through a few reports after Reporting objectionable behaviour. after this post:

Favourite: BeoSound Moment. Sure, I waited till the May sw was released to buy one and was rather reserved with respect to its usability, but must admit that I and the rest of household find it to be a gem: easy to use, the panel is just the right size (for laying on the sofa table, for holding, for readability) and it simply works. Every time, no drop outs, no delays. And as my significant other said after putting down the BeoRemote One: The Moment is intuitive to use, no need for instructions or customization what so ever. Brilliant product today.

Runner-up: BeoLab 18.

Least favourite: BeoVision Avant 55. Traded in mine for the 75-inch witch has a much better panel (closing in on the old 7-55 mk2 we had), visually better balanced (on the floor stand) and much better made (than the first series of Avant 55 at least - the way the Avant 55 is made may have improved since my Avant 55 left the factory).

Runner-up: BeoLab 17. This design does fit with what in the current line up? A stand-alone product with the Essence, perhaps. Sound great, though.

I've never seen an Avant 75 on a stand or in person. I reckon it would be huuuuuuuge.

The 75 inch will be closer to the 7-55 Mk2 because they employ similar back lighting technology. Unbelievably the Avant still uses edge lighting, which is a significant step back in quality in my view. And I've owned both.

Like for 9 LEE, the flop for me definitely was the 'DJ Khaled - We The Best' Special Edition of the H6.

I don't really see any other 'flops'.

My personal hit was the H2.

It is a very uncomplicated headphone, light and eay to take with you - and it sounds good.

I have come to use it more than my H6, even if I (at least for home use) l like the SQ of that more.

From an overall point of view the BeoSound Moment is the absolute hit!

With this new product we see, what B&O is capable of.

A daring design (that I am sure will grow on a lot of people with time), and a unique user concept, that is unmatched by former BeoSounds and - certainly - by what the 'competitors' are trowing to the market.

A BeoSound that integrates perfectly with the current B&O product range.

A product, that only B&O could make. A product, that is true to the filosophy of B&O: make things unexpected!

Most users, who have bought it and have lived with it for a while, are very satisfied - see:

http://archivedforum2.beoworld.org/forums/p/14241/133049.aspx#133049

Must be nice to buy a product, that you know will get new features very soon Smile

It is not a product for everyone - e.g. not the device for dedicated album listeners, like me!

But it is a product, that will appeal to a lot of those, who like/prefer the simplicity/the easiness of the B&O products.

However it actually is not that obvious.

Collins Street store :) and as there for the Moment and the 90th party (ok the party crowd is a possible excuse)

The original 55" has been relegated to the back alcove.

Compared to the 55" it is covering a significantly larger area, but visually it occupies roughly the same amount of space as our old 7-55. The width of the BeoLab 7-6 is slightly less than the width of the Avant 75 screen. The funny part was when the Avant 55 replaced the 7-55 - it felt like a replacing a 55" telly with a 40", which is good - the Avant 55 is big, but not intrusive.

Good to see you Roger - and no extra moderating yet!  I like the Moment and when the search software is fixed, I will seriously consider getting one. Will be interested to see how it copes with my ML/MCL set up!! Smile

HIT: BeoRemote One. Light, well-designed, easy-to-use, looks good, reasonable value. What else would you want from a remote?

MISS: Avant 55. I know owners will stand by their decision, but never looked back after trading it in against a BV12-65. Even my pre-loved BV11-40 has a superior picture. Of course, owners live in hope of a 4K revolution, but I just want a TV which renders a clear picture when the camera pans quickly (the Avant resulted in a slightly blurred image, which happens a lot when watching sport)! The BV7-55 and BV12-64 succeeded here and we should just choose a TV you can enjoy now, not 'for the future' as the future hasn't arrived. As many people are aware, I dug my claws in and rejected every argument about 4K and the Avant, sticking by my Avant 55" decision, but ultimately it was fruitless. Move back to a BV7-55 or BV12-64 - older technology - and you get a superior TV experience based on current output.

Hit. For me personally the beolab18 with oak fronts. They sound fantastic and look stunning. And never cease to get admiring looks and comments. The walnut fronts are equally fab in my opinion but weren't available when I was buying. Special thanks to moxxey for turning my forum enquiry about BL3s into a BL18 purchase.

Flop. Those damned DJ headphones.

How do you compare their pictures, and what differences do you hear with the Avant's sound compared to the 7-6?

The picture of the Avant 75 is sharper than the 7-55, for sure, and the grey-to-black is pretty much the same quality. But it does require more from the source material, so SDTV is far superior on the 7-55 just as 1080p from Netflix is better on the Avant 75. A tough and close call, with no winner in todays tv market - you can not count in the 4k benefit this year. Either. The sound, on the other hand, was a big surprise: the 8 speakers in the Avant series beats the BL 7-6 no matter how you compare them.

The sound system in the Avant family is a major leap forward over that in the Beosystem 3. The same speakers connected to a BS3 and BS4 sound massively different on almost all content. I was amazed.

Hits: BeoLab 9 and H6. Both hit my wallet hard between 2014 and 2015.

BeoLab 9: I got one of the last pairs and they do a good job, not with bad recordings, but with good recordings. What you feed them, they reproduce accurately

H6: They are comfortable, even after more than an hour of listening.

Flops for me, not generally: H8 I put them on and they are not so comfortable on my ears. I don't miss the Bluetooth transmission.
