I updated my Beolit 15 to the new software... I don't know if it is my mind, but I find that the sound is less boomy now. My Beolit 15 is close to a wall and quite often I had to place it in a more central position in the room but today I left it at his place and I enjoyed it better.

It took 2 minutes to update but you need a mini USB cable to plug in the Beolit15.
@Duels Have you updated the A2.
What are the improvements?
"You think we can slap some oak on this thing?"
I have upgrade the A2 can't hear any difference, but it will ready for stereo pairing with another A2.
There is not an upgrade for the H8, but i looks like there will be one soon, since the installer faq mentions what kind of USB cable you ned for the: Beolit 15, Beoplay A2 and Beoplay H8.
I just read the instructions for the first time and there is mention of using two Beolits , setting one left and one right, in a stereo set-up. Is this new ?
Beo Century ,Beoplay V1, Beocenter 6, Ex-Beolit 12, Beotime , A8. Beolit 15 , Form 2i , Beolab 2000, Beoplay A3.Beosound 1

Yes.
Update done. No problems. Feels strange it needs a hidden mini USB port, why not use the normal USB port?
I have an A2. In the first song I already has had two "noise sparks" like on an old FM radio. Never happened before, hope its not because the update.
Interesting. Thanks for the rapid replies guys!
4 "noise sparks" now. I regret the update.
Hm, I´m sitting next to the iMac (because the updating process), Maybe it's the computer who's causing the noise sparks. I moved the A2 a little bit to see if it helps.
Nope, iMac turned off but the noise sparks continues. Why on earth did I upgrade, as I only have one A2?
I keep posting. When nothing is connected the A2 is producing a low background noise, and those noise sparks. Can't remember it did this before the upgrade.
Note to myself: If it works, don't fix it!

BeoNut since '75
I took a bullet for BeoWorld! ;-)
Yep, I've sent an email to their support. Will see what they say.
Mine is working fine with the update, just pulled the trigger and ordered number 2 will it still 20% off.
I didn't notice any sparks noise.
When the A2 is on, and nothing is connected, is the speaker completely silent or do you hear some background noise?
Beosound Stage, Beovision 8-40, Beolit 20, Beosound Explore.
Chris Townsend:Yes in store
The A9 is now for AirPlay and Bluetooth.
Either way, for the second gen A9 which I just bought a few weeks ago and am playing now, if I go to the Beosetup app, if I go to product list and select the A9, 'Bluetooth' is one of the options for settings. That then has a 'Pairing' option. It has the latest firmware which was introduced for this. I assume that for updated devices this has now also been added.
This is what I see on the Beosetup app for the A9 now:
Dave.
No sparks since the first day after upgrade, but the low background noise is still there. Also noticed the volume control (from the iPhone 6) is a mess the first 5 seconds after start up of A2. Never happened before software upgrade.
Thanx BeoGreg. Maybe the messy volume control was there before the update, but I can't remember I noticed it before.
Went to a shop today to listen to a nonconnected A2. Completely silent without low background noise.
I will try to remake the update tonight.
Chris Townsend:So I'm in a B&O shop and have apart of Beolit 15's and a pair of A2's all connected to my Bluetooth settings. How do I then pair them? I've got a pair of A2's on at the moment and all it plays is the last device connected! Beovision 7-55 Mk2, Beovision 8-32, Avant RF 28, Beolab 9, Beolit 15, Beoplay A2, Beocom 2, Beotime, H6, Form 2.
Ah, you know... A little B&O here, a little there
A pair of A2s linked like this would make great PC speakers, and you could grab one and go if you wanted tunes on the go. Since I only have one BL15 and don't intend to buy another, well, I admire the patch from afar.
Jeff
I'm afraid I'm recovering from the BeoVirus.

I like the idea of the double pairing.
does it "unpair" to put both right and left on one Beolit if you are only using one? I assume so.
A friend visited us yesterday and the Beolit 15 was playing in the kitchen and he actually asked where the sound was coming from. He couldn't work out from the hallway what was making such a great sound and that's with one speaker!
