Timeouts and a new way

The whole point is that we have moved to a dedicated server from a shared one to try to avoid these issues. I too have started getting problems answering threads and being unable to connect to the forum, mainly in the last 2 weeks. Clearly there is something odd going on but I have every faith in Lee in getting it fixed.

After a weekend with a lot of problems, since yesterday morning 09.07.12, no problems what so ever.

I'm having all sorts of problems. Forum is really slow over the last 48 hours and now every post and edit leads to a timeout :(

Same here since 12.07.12, a lot of connection reset, or time out. today worse.

yesterday was "ok" as in intermittent.

today is very bad, sometimes don't get a list of topics at all - just a beoworld blue screen, or the list is truncated and only 3 or so are shown.

been trying to post a long post (all text) for several times now, and I think I have lost it.

time to kick myself for not saving it once it failed the first time . . . . .

this whole week timeouts and connection reset, today worse than ever, had some 10 times reset to post this

Edit, started over to post, and again some 5-6 times connection reset.

I have an idea that the time outs are linked to the new server going into STBY or "sleep" mode and the time taken for it to "wake up".

It seems to happen much more if I am trying to post  at non peak UK time such as 0400am BST. There are not many on line at that time, so the server is likely to go into "sleep" mode.

I might be completely wrong , of course!

Just testing, ignore this. Until now good speed and lets see if it loads correctly

Please post any problems here, timeouts, connection reset, slower than usually, Keith is working on it.

Since yesterday evening (Mex. time), I've had no problems
