New Beoplay H5, bluetooth

I'm on my second pair of H5's (first pair got stolen), and it's been my favorite B&O purchase the last couple of years. I find the sound great, the microphone works better than my H3 ANC, and the freedom of no cables is a major benefit. Particularly as I travel constantly for work, these have been great for the plane and airports.

Can't understand this. Are you saying they both fit comfortably, the cable doesn't make noise when rubbing on your clothes and they actually have good sound?

If all you are jazzed about is the fact that they are bluetooth there are MUCH better options out there.

I'm not sure how it's hard to understand that I enjoy my purchase, as do others.

I am saying they fit comfortably, I enjoy the sound, and the cable noise is rarely an issue. I found the cable noise in my H3's more noticeable.

For what I do - lots of travel and conference calls - they suit me very well, unlike the airpods or over the ear options.  I need quick in/out on/off the phone or one ear at a time, etc.

There are probably plenty of other options, but I am very happy with my purchase. I could probably point to a thousand other <homes/car/clothes/shoes/food/whatever you want> than yours that I may think are better, but if it ticks the boxes for you and you enjoy it, then why do I care?

Just bought a pair of AirPods and couldn't be happier. Agree that these are an incredible thoughtful design - something I used to be able to say about B&O. Thanks for the positive reviews in this thread, which made me just order them online without listening first. They are what you would expect from a top brand like Apple. Simon.

B&O products are V1-32, BS2, H95, E8 and an Essence remote.
11-46 now replaced with Sony A90J 65”, Sony HT-A9, Sony UBP-X800M2 and Sony SRS-NS7.

So did I until I worked out a technique of tucking wire around the arms of my spectacles and placed the loop around the back of my neck ! Very happy with my H3s ... but eyeing iPods simply because the H3s are lousy for taking phone calls (at short notice)

The AirPods work just one ear at a time actually. You can actually have one charging in the case while you use the other for calls (or whatever). Since they have 2 mics the sound is really impressive too.

I also love the feature that when you take one out of your ear it pauses the music.

So many well thought out ideas. No wonder they have such high customer satisfaction.

I was proudly sporting my gnarly twisted H5s this morning when this pair joined me at the traffic lights ... they looked tres elegante on her ! But I have no idea of the brand ... nor whether the sound was any good. If I ever replace the H5s (their wear and tear says sooner than later Sad) I'll go EarPods simply for the charging case's convenience)

They are by Frends and cost around £150 - £200. No idea how they sound.

But didn't they look great on her.

I have had essentially the same experience that Simon did.  I have had tremendous trouble getting any of the typical in the ear phones to fit into my ear and stay in. That includes Jabra  and Bose.    These headphones, the Apple AirPods, were thoroughly tested before they were released to market. That's obvious to me in that they fit properly, convey rich, accurate  sound and seem very reliable. They also have excellent product support and were clearly well thought out in the design phase.    In some ways they remind me of a German car; a tremendous amount of testing and refining was done before they were released. I agree that the Bang & Olufsen headphones are more elegant looking and aesthetically much more pleasing. However, here, that's not enough.   I have very much liked Bang and Olufsen's wired headphones; I own a pair of H6's and use them on plane trips. These were well thought out and have a beautiful sound. (That has been documented in many, many reviews.)

I have the same issue with the cord making too much noise.

Has anyone found a solution to his?

I am thinking about buying a clip to the cord could be attached to my t-shirt and thereby minimizing some of the movements?

That's the advantage of being a dominant market leader, with huge R&D funds and no requirement to rush product to market.

We work with a semi-famous clothing brand (I know the owner well, but won't name them for obvious reasons) and they have a very similar approach to B&O. They have a finite amount of funds for R&D, but need to take risks with new fabrics. They release a product and effectively the consumer becomes the beta-tester. A year later, they release a product revision with all the negative/positive feedback from paying customers.

You could argue those customers have been a bit short-changed, but the other argument is that if you want to purchase "revision 1" products, sadly the downside is you're a bit of a beta-tester as a result. What surprises me though, is that B&O hasn't updated the H5's (H6 anyone?) yet.

I was surprised to see updated H3s (E4s) last week as opposed to new improved Bluetooth earbuds.

Good day everyone.

Just got a confirmation from B&O that an in-ear-hook will be released soon. This should solve the issue with these not staying in.

Stumbled across this after I downloaded an electronic booklet, which it seems was uploaded a bit early, and it includes the in-ear-hooks.

Will attach photos soon.

Got mine yesterday. Although some people mention it in the reviews it can’t be emphasised enough with these things selecting the right size foams is absolutely essential!! Played them at first with a set that was (way) too smal for my ears, i was shocked about the sound quality, very shallow and thin sound lacking any form of bass. A 1$ ebay pair of headphones sounded better. After fooling around with the other sizes found the correct size and difference in not only comfort but also sound quality is HUGE !!

I've had 3 pairs of H5s (really, 3 pairs) and generally pleased. The original black set was lost in Los Angeles. Replaced these with a Moss Green pair, which I sold.

Just bought the new Vapour H5. Love the all-grey design.

I got the black ones, perhaps a little boring indeed lol

wearing them for a few hours in the house now listening some Spotify playlist, very impressed with the sound and comfort!

Just orderd a mixed pack of compiy foam tips. Roughly 25$ shipped justify a little experimenting with these !
