Are you guys picky about your rentals? I could easily bring a couple American lady's that would melt at the thought of an "Italian or English Gentleman."

Just throwing it out there Wink

My wife thought I was being too slow to purchase airfare so she went and bought it to make sure we join the party. Pretty excited about this party now.

Get ready for the AMERICANS!

Hi everybody!!

Smile

It seems that some of you are interested in a tour of a microbrewery (a plant where beer is handcrafted) during their trip to Riva. Trentino (the region) is actually one of the regions of Italy where people are investing more in the creation of small breweries (a quite small production plant but with a very high quality).

In particular there are two plants which are becoming more and more popular even internationally, as it was for Baladin in the past, and whose owners I know personally. It could be interesting to arrange a visit, and talk to them.

I could arrange everything.

Please let me know what you think! Smile

Hi everybody Smile

Is it ok if I arrange for the tasting at the microbrewery on the 7th in the afternoon?

So, maybe at 15.00, and then we slowly move to the restaurant traveling along the lake taking advantage of a good light at dawn... Wink

What do you think?

Well, I thought it would be interesting for you to visit a local microbrewery in the afternoon and then have dinner and enjoy some good food and some wonderful beers...

but you can tell me if this is too much and you prefer to do something different. No problem at all.

When will you be here Elephant?

Please let me know! I could help you arrange your visit according to how many days you wish to stay and what you want to see and do.

And this is obviously true all for all of you coming.

As to the 7th October I can confirm that we (those who are interested) will visit the microbrewery in the afternoon and then move to the restaurant where, at the moment, I am arranging the dinner for you. Smile I am choosing a suitable menu and some beers to accompany each dish. I am also arranging for a beer expert to be there and explain each beer we will be tasting and... I also have some other (I hope) very nice surprises for you Wink

During the day a small shuttle will take us from one place to another and then back to your hotels at night so that nobody will need to worry about driving.

I really hope to make that day a memorable one for all of you! Smile

Please let me know if you wish to do anything more or different or if there is anything else I can help you with!

Have a nice evening!

Thanks

I would certainly appreciate Accomodation recommendations for Riva

I am thinking of spending the preceding days seeing sights in Tuscany, and so based on a hub and spoke approach was looking to use trains from Florence or a car from Lucca

Any advice ?

As to the accommodation in Riva I can suggest you Hotel Luise, which is near the city center and the lake and also has a great quality. Some of you have already reserved a room there.

If you plan to take a train you can take a Freccia (the Italian high speed train) from Florence to Rovereto or Italo Treno (the same as a Freccia, but a private one) from Florence to Verona. In both cases, if you let me know when you arrive I can try and arrange for picking you up at the station.

Please visit www.lefrecce.it and www.italotreno.it

If you prefer to rent a car and drive to Riva, you can rent one using www.rentalcars.com They compare many different companies and guarantee the best solution. The highway from Florence to Rovereto is very smooth and comfortable. Of course if you have a car you are more free to plan other short trips in the mountains or to Trento or Bolzano in the following days (I don't know how long you are staying).

Thanks for the offer and the hints & tips.

We should arrive in Italy 🇮🇹 around the start of the week.

As my wife is an art museum nut we will be soaking up the Renaissance before Riva 😋

My 1st thank you was swallowed or lost ... I should have done a copy before pressing post !

So thank you for the offer - and for the hints and tips. Most helpful.

We will arrive in Italy 🇮🇹 at the start of the week, and as my wife is an art museum nut we will be diving into the Renaissance 😊

After Riva will go to Venice and then Vienna as the last stop before flying home.

I have worked out a menu for dinner and each dish will be accompanied by a different beer. I am quite satisfied with my choices but I don't want to tell you too much! I hope you trust me... Wink

Please just let me know if there is anything you cannot eat, so that I can find an alternative for you. Ok?

Starting from 14.30, a mini bus that I rented for the occasion will pick you up at the hotel (please let me have your contacts and the name of the hotel you booked). I will already be on the bus and we will head to the microbrewery in Ledro, which is just a few kilometers from Riva. We will visit the microbrewery and its owner will tell us about their production methods and of course we will be able to taste their production as well Big Smile

After that, we will take the mini bus again to reach the place where we will have our dinner, which in Monzambano, at the bottom of the lake.

To do that, it will choose to drive along the east coast of the lake so that you can enjoy beautiful views of the lake at the blue hour. In around 1 hour we will be at the restaurant to enjoy our dinner and our beers, to talk and get to know each other, and anything we will like to do.

A beer specialist will be with us all the time to tell us everything about the beers that we will taste and to answer any question you may want to ask. Smile

So, please write to me in private when you can and let me know:

- how I can contact you when you are in Italy

- what hotel you booked

- if I wish to come to the brewery or if you prefer that I pick you up later, just to go to dinner
