If the latest Beo-Remote app is the winner, I'd love to see the loser!

Clumsy interface that does no favours to great TVs.

Yet again , IMHO, B&O show how not to do a user interface.

I've tried the beoremote with a V1 and I see no difference with the last version.

The new version includes two way communication. You can see the active TV channel on the iPad. Activating Speaker offers a list of your spekaer groups on the iPad.

Dealer informed me that iPad control for BeoSound 5 via BeoRemote App is due on 17 May.

He said the App will be updated to include BS5.

Don't know what functions will be available though other than album art display.

May 17th is here and no update for BS5 control. :(

Yes I waited for the App to update to no avail.

Rang the dealer this morning to ask if there was a delay and was informed that update was actually for control via masterlink gateway. They were originally of the understanding that it was going to be like controlling the BV11/V1.

Bummer. I really had my hopes up for this but to get iPad control is going to cost $3000+ ( for the gateway). A bit excessive when that is all it will do for our situation.

One day it might happen.

Sorry to get everyone's hopes up but it was what I was told by the dealer.
