Raeuber:
If Beosystem 4 really doesn't support 4K to provide 4K signals for future Beovisions, I'm quite sure BS 4 will be the (next) "lame duck" from B&O!

4K should be natural for a new, expensive and high end video engine in the year 2013.

Or shall we wait for a Beosystem 5 with 4K support until 2020??

Just my 2 cents...

B&O as early adopter?

Better wait for 8K 🎆

I guess that would only switch 1 room on though. My Timer Play switches everything on (and off) throughout the house

That's correct.

What's happened to Timer Play? One of the features I use most on my Beosystem 3. Wonder why its gone?

I also use Timer Play with my BV 7 and I miss it at my BV 10. Probably it works on BS4 with a BeoTime.

My BV8-40 doesn't do it either - never missed it though.

Hi Millemissen,

thank you very much, very interesting indeed!

And finally Apple will introduce his iTV with 16K (Retina).

Greetings

My 2 cents here......

What B&O do they usually do it very well.

If people want the latest mass market trendy trinket of 4 K, go for it. People can buy any number of lower end tvs that provide early stage 4 K tech with little content. How long did it take to get blu ray once DVDs came out? People dumped analogue video once DVD came out, but it took along time.

I think in the world of high end hifi, you cant offer people everything - you either do a few things well, or you compromise overall.

Why do people buy older classic cars? Modern cars go much faster and handle better, but nothing beats a classic for enjoyment......

I think while B&O can be behind the curve, I'd rather them really nail down the basics and make them outstanding and a benchmark, than providing "gee whiz" tech for the mass market.

I dont need 15.2 surround, nor 50 ways to stream video around my house ( and fry myself with microwave band wifi in the process ). I fi buy B&O I want good quality, every time, and I enjoy what I have to the max....
