Here is a picture of the 2 boards

The arrow is the P62 connector that is supposed to be connected to PCB 20 (service manual) but it is not connected to anything.

If anyone can confirm that this is normal or not normal.

It's a beosystem 2500 type 2606

Confirmed.

The right board with the plug P62 and the potentiometers is the older Version of the board. It has also different resistors for the potis.

I have seen both Versions of the board, but P62 was never used. I dont know, if this P62 was deactivated by a Modifikation or not...

Hi

What I am trying to find out is if that board should work even if P62 is not connected to the PCB20. If you have seen units working without P62 connected to PCB20.

If you did not read the hole thread the unit start to turn full speed in the reverse direction and if I connect the other board the CD runs fine.

Never know, if someone has changed the board and could not find the problem and then sold it on eba..

Hi

I happened to have the exact same problem. But also, as it becomes hot (Used to be about 30 minutes, but now it's a few minutes), the CD is slowing down a bit and restart. That leads to electronic sound in the speakers. (I'll post a video of it)

It's a beosystem 2500. Type 2608.

The Board 8 differ a lot from what is posted in this thread. Would desoldering that board any good or it's a wast of time ?

Where can I source a new one ?

Ok. Sorry for the typos in my previous message.

Turns out I have a "newer" BeoSystem 2500 with CDM-12. Any known troubles with these units ? Any fix I could make ?

Hello,

I have the same issue as the author of this thread, does someone find a solution in these few years? I checked the laser CDM4 and its fine. I assume that steering of the cd motor doesnt reply - checked in onboard diagnostics.

Greetings
