Dear All
as announced the N.Radio support ( used by beoport) via the http://nradio.beoplayer.com/nradiodata.asp is no longer available the domain has been dropped.
I was wondering is it could be possible to emulate it in order to connect to the many free radio available on the web.
I do not know the detail of the interface apart from the registry information that identify the web site and an id.

Well, if one could get hold of what ever B&O had as script on this domain it could be cloned on a local resource at your local LAN. Would be easy to redirect the domain with a static dns pointer in a consumer router.
Has anyone reached out to B&O to request this or thought about salvaging the domain?
I’ve submitted a request to https://bogo.custhelp.com/app/ask just below:

Hi,
It seems that the http://nradio.beoplayer.com domain has expired, but this is the domain that provides internet radio to all my devices (beosystem 2, beosound 5, beoport etc.)
Would it be possible for you to renew the domain and resurrect the script. Failing that, could you provide the script so that users can re-direct the n.radio requests correctly?
they say they will get back to me in a couple of days.
i really hope they reset this domain. It’s not as if it is costing them a lot!
Just got a reply - the question has been referred to their tech department in Denmark - so here’s hoping!
N Radio still seems to be working on the BV11. Different domain?
Graham
Hope for you that is the case. On my beosound 5s, the domain is the same as the one above. Hopefully B&O will resurrect the domain and maybe link to whatever the BV11 is using if they have to.
Actually I can only confirm that it is working on my BV Avant 55.
It sure is!
MM
There is a tv - and there is a BV
Hi Frog,
I've also contacted beocare about this N.Radio issue on the beoport. Fingers crossed they will fix this.
Rob.
Thanks, the more that do, the likely it will be fixed.
As an aside, what would be a simple addition (not replacement) if they don’t fix this? I was using it to listen to radio stations in a different country. I’d ideally like it to be activated on pressing the Radio button (like it does with the Beosound 5) and I have an all-ML setup.
Hi
as Kimhav mentioned it woudl be enough to get the script used by B&O to simply emulate an interface over a small pc / a raspberry Pi to interface the existing web radio.
Yes, I know that as it was mentioned. I was asking about what other device would do the job.
I have 3 other Beosound 5s and the two others I've tested seem to work OK. now - must be something else with the one that couldn't connect. I'll have to have a closer look.....
Maybe it has to do with an update to the firmware.
In case of Beoport this is the setup after last version available and even supported by BEOCARE with the updated registry information.
For sure netradio is working on my Beovision Avant 55 so the server address are diffrent between BEOPORT and BV Avant 55.
Hallo
could you please check the following Registry then?
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Bang & Olufsen\BeoPlayer\N.Radio
?
regards
For my Beosound 5s, I have the same registry entry as you do for your beoport.
Very interesting, I just checked the url ( from my pc) and with my surprise, I did not get anymore the "domain could be recollected" banner, but some dataflow. I cannot chexknif my Beoport works because I am far from home until end if week. Could be that B&O reacted to the request at their technical support. Regards
Alfio
Almost certainly they have responded to my request but they have yet to tell me!

Looks like they are confirming they are working on it / fixed it :
Dear Nigel,
Thank you for your patience.
Our technicians can confirm that they are working on a resolution to your lack of internet radio. This should be resolved already, and if not within 24 hours.
Should you require further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us again.
Kind regards,
MartiBang & Olufsen Support
I heard back from beocare this morning to say they have been working on resolving the issue and it should now be fixed :) I am at work so won't be able to check mine until this evening, but it looks like the domain name has been restored. Rob.
Hi Frog, Is N.radio all working on your beoport now? I could see the stations in the windows app, but could only get BBC radio 1 to play. Other bbc stations and absolute radio didn't load. Cheers, Rob.
Actually, I have 4 Beosound 5s and no Beoport. All working though. Odd you are only getting one station though!
Hi Alfio,
Are your N.radio stations streaming for you on your PC using the beoport software?
Many thanks.

unfortunately I am far from home until saturday.
So I can not check until then.
I checked this morning and tested few radio and they seems to work without problems.
So I confirm that the problem has been solved.
Thanks
Thanks for checking. It could just be that I checked it too soon after the services were restored. They did say up to 24hrs. I may try out BM-Link on the Mac instead... it would allow me to add in additional radio stations to N.Radio via iTunes that are not listed in the Beoport app.
