Beosound Core Mk1 and Mk2 Differences?

Does anyone know what improvements were made to the Mk2 Core over the Mk1?

You can connect the new design IR eye to the Mk II Core (and it will work).

I wasn’t aware there was a mk2 released. How can we tell the difference between a mk1 unit and a mk2 unit physically?

Currently: BeoLab 17, BeoLab 18, BeoSound Core, Beosound Level, Beosound A1 2nd Gen, BeoPlay S8 Connection Hub, Halo, Essence Remote

Previously: BeoSound 1 non-GVA

Previously: BeoSound 1 non-GVA

Core Mk II has Type No. 3051 (look at the bottom of the Core (or via app / product configuration webpage)).

No other visual clues.

So the Core arrived today and as expected I am lost before I begin!

The connections appear very different from all those in all the info I have seen. Many connections are missing!!!

There is no reset.

I cannot get my ipad or iphone to even see it. A steady amber light required for connection lasts just 3-4 seconds.

Any ideas?

Funny....could you post pictures of the device, that you have required?

And have you contacted your dealer with these troubles?

OK. Problem solved..... It was sold as a Core. It is not. It is an S8 connection hub!

But not from a B&O dealer.....I hope not.

OK. A dealer called Premier-Beo. He has instantly come back to me with aggression and denial. Calling me a liar twice.

Complete denial and nothing but vial abuse. I have offered to return it to him. He has offered to pay me an aggressive visit at my home! I don't think I could recommend this reseller?

Report this to the police so they have a forensic footprint in case he has threatened others or harms you.

Interesting. I do have the MK2 based on the number. Could you tell me what the IR does and how does it work with the Core? Many thanks.
