Hi Guys,

I (don't ask me why) have bought a pair of S45-2 to encourage me to recap my Beomaster 1001, even if I suspect both may not be a good fit. Anyway.

I've read a lot about magnet seizure and I wonder if something can be done before it happens, like superglueing it while it is still in place.

Despite finding them sounding very well, I also discovered one tweeter was silent.
Is it something that ca be repaired or is it just a matter of changing it ?

I know I should change the caps in the filters but right now it dont sounds like an emergency and as said, I'm still gathering my courage for the 1001.

ALWAYS glue the woofer magnets.
Replace capacitors, check for burned resistors, and see if the tweeter is still silent.
If still silent, replace it.

Thanks Martin,

Glueing the woofer is putting a cord of glue (2 components epoxy?) at the junction between the bowl and the magnet right?
Like Rubson between the wall and the bathtub?

The tweeter is definitely burned. I'll PM you about replacement.

Yes, a bead of glue between the magnet and the basket, and between the magnet and the end cap:
