Hello fellow enthusiasts!

I have bought myself a secondhand Beo6. And i got a copy of the configuration tool as well but when i try to connect the beo6 to my computer he keeps saying that there is no driver for it. Could any of you help me with this? (i tried it on several computers)

Thanks in advance.

Kindest regards Tom

Tom,

There are several reasons for your problem and the most common are:-

  • The version of the Configuration Tool you are using is prior to version 6.5
  • The Beo6 was configured on a 32 bit Windows Operating System and your PC is running a 64 bit operating system.
  • You don't have the correct driver on your PC

Keith,

Thanks for your answer.

I was aware of the 32 / 64 bit. My laptop is 64 bits it wont run on it and i have tried it on a normal computer that works with 32 bits but also there it does not work.

my configuration version is 6.62

i think i don't have the right driver. But where can i find/get/buy the right one?

thanks!

Tom

OK, this is a known problem and will require you to load the driver manually.

Put the Beo6 on the base connected to the PC USB port then

Right Click on My Computer and select "Device Manager"

The Beo6 will be selected but will have an exclamation mark since the driver failed to install automatically.

Right click on the Beo6 and select "Update Driver software"

Select "Search automatically for updated driver software"

You will get a message which says "Windows can't verify the publisher of this driver software"

Click the option to "Install this driver software anyway"

The driver will be installed.
