Hey all,

I've just wiped down my BC2 socket after owning it for just over 2 years (just out of warranty - perfect), the surface seems to have deteriorated! I was only using a damp cloth! It feels sticky... the lacquer seems to have become like the glue residue you'd find left over after removing a sticker.

It's been sitting where it is (out of the sunlight) for about a year, last time i checked it, it was fine, spotless.

What on earth has happened > has this happened to anyone else? I don't remember using any cleaning solution on it in the past either...

They can feel like then when they are damp or freshly cleaned.  Give it a few hours to dry and it'll be back to its old self.

Hey Lee!

Unfortunately this isn't the case, the socket unit has areas where the soft touch has worn away and a large amount of the surface area is soft and sticky - like glue residue. The soft touch has actually broken down, it's a good thing that the socket unit is a hide away, but it is a shame that it hasn't lasted me any longer then two years... I wonder what has caused it to break down, because the only thing it has been exposed to is air, and a damp kitchen cloth
