Hi everyone!
Long time fan, first time poster here
I was very lucky and got my hands on a Beolab 5000 a couple of days ago, but the problem is that the volume control slider is broken. The glass is cracked and the metal part (the one that has "volume" printed on it) is gone.
Does anyone know of a way to get a hold of a replacement part?
After looking at pictures i see that maybe the sliders on the Beomaster 3000 looks similar, does anyone know if this is correct? Because I may be able to get a hold of a defect beomaster 3000 and use the sliders from that one.

Probably it is (3000-5000)? Always mixing lab and master. Was expecting the amp to be the Beolab instead of Beomaster (why is that?).
I stored my Beolab and Master away so I can't check for you at the moment. I'sm sure others can confirm if 3000 sliders are compatible with 5000.
Or as said before, make them yourself....
The Beomaster 3000 and Beolab 5000 windows are not identical.They are apprx the same width and height but thicknesses are different.Beolab 5000 have thicker window areas whereas the Beomaster 3000 have thicker flanges.

Ok, I got a plexi glass pice with the right thickness and after a heavy use of sandpaper this is the result

I am very pleased with the result, and the only thing left now is to add lettering. I think i will try with some sort of transfer paper. Anyone know the font? Is it helvetica?
Well done!
Helvetica is indeed closest - Letraset should have some transfer letters that will be a close match.
