Amazone:The red blinking light did not exactly behave like described in the instruction movie. It stopped before I could press continue in the windows install program. But after trying a couple of times the software recognised the A2 and continued the installation without further issues.
Thank you for your hint, and the other poster who said they waited for 20 seconds.
When I first tried it the red light came on but when I pressed continue the update died ... and then I appeared to have a bricked unit.
However I persevered following these two hints (1) ignoring the lack of a red light, and (2) pressing the buttons for a count of 20 "seconds" and then (3) pressing "Continue" and voila the update happened.
Now I have played with the BeoPlay App and I can hand the unit back to its owner ... and shred the divorce papers.

Thank you for your hint, and this other poster who said they waited for 20 seconds in the "dark":
BeoGreg:I runed the program, pluged the Beolit to the computer, pressed the 3 buttons approx 20 s without knowing if the red light was on, the Beolit turned on, got a message saying to turn off the Beolit wich I did and the software started downloading. Voilà.
However I persevered following these two hints (1) ignoring the lack of a red light, and (2) pressing the buttons for a count of 20 "seconds" and then (3) pressing "Continue" and then (4) voila the update happened.
