Help needed with my ongoing project of making a AV9000 streamline and working with no attached third party junk .

Just managed to install an new old stock STB-C module for the Beovision MX/AV9000 set part number 1403000.

Much to my suprise this actually works with a Humax HD FOX T2 digital box even though this box is not on the current STB chip list.

I installed the latest chip version 4.45 and there wasa choice of 3  Humax boxes, one looked very simelar so imputted the code for that box via the Beo4 remote and its now working.

To do this it says in the instructions with the kit do the following.

Press  LIST  to bring up V.AUX then press GO

Then press list V.SETUP then GO

you then get TUNE on the Beo4 screen, i put in 12 which was the code for the Humax box i'm using.

You then plug in the humax box, and its now working well off the beo4 remote, changing chanels, i can bring up the freeveiw menu and TV guide etc so alls nearly good !

Its just i cannot actuate the television screen via the Humax box of my beolink 7000 or 5000 remotes as theres no V.AUX source button to bring it on.

My question, is there any other source listed on the beolink 7000 i can use to work the Humax box, ? i have tried doing this start up with V. TAPE2 on AV2 and C.D.V. on AV2 niether will let me work the humax box, only when i sellect V.AUX on the beo4 am i able to change chanels and bring the TV Guide up etc.

Oddly, once i'm on V.Aux from the Beo4, using the number buttons on the 2 way beolink 5000 remote also change the chanels !!!! so a 2 way remote will do it, i just need a source both the link 5000 and 7000  can recogise so when i press the suitable source button on link 5000/7000 i can at least change the soound and speakers when watching the television, at the moment i can only do this via the Beo4 as its only this remote that had V.AUX on it.

HOpe someone has some knowledge on this.

thanks

Phil

V.AUX can be accessed using SHIFT then TV on older remotes - does that work?

HI,

Thanks for this list, after trying everything, its actually press T.V. first which turns on the old analoge tuner, then shift brings up V.Aux on the link 5000 and it does turn on the humax box,

Howeverm its the Beolink 7000 i really want to get control of turning on the Television and humax box, this i'm unable to do on the 7000, even when you have V.Aux on the link 5000, the blue screen on the link 7000 is completely blank, its like it does not know what V. AUX is at all?

any more ideas?

regards<

Did you have any trouble with the installation of the STB-C module based on the included instructions? I have a version 43/00 MST and my version of the installation instructions do not mention my AV 9000 version. DO you have any other installation tips for this STB-c module. Did you modify the SCART plus as the instructions indicate. Did you modify both SCART plugs??  Thanks much. Randall
