I wonder who would pay that for .. that.
Beolab 50, Beolab 8000 x 2, Beolab 4000 x 2, BeoSound Core, BeoSound 9000, BeoSound Century, BeoLit 15, BeoPlay A1, BeoPlay P2, BeoPlay H9 3rd Gen, BeoPlay H6, EarSet 3i, BeoVision Eclipse Gen 2 55", BeoPlay V1-40, BeoCom 6000 and so much else :)
I don't know, one way or another it looks quite...hmmmm, good!
There must be one someday on this Ebay planet who's willing to pay that amount of money.
Brengen & Ophalen

Well perhaps =). I think that they at least could have used the correct font. It is not so hard to get. Now it has the wrong font on the aluminium plate.
Interesting design but I think it is a bit strange anyway :).
Didn't noticed that but I guess you're right about the font?
Actually would look good in my place.... Not that I could ever afford it! ... or even have a use for it.
Would love to see more complete photos of it.

Right, I was missing that (picture of the whole unit). I wonder why?

Maybe an Idea for you Leslie when you get to the point of BS9000 refurbs ?
They seem to have an all black version as well.
BYW, Love all your picture documented posts.
What a load of Jackson Pollocks...
Why replace the laser in a 219***** serial BS9000 for a start, then what's all this about fitting a new "optical fibre" ? - and worse still... since when did Bang & Olufsen make a Type 2672 "Mk4" ??!!!
I'm all for customising. Yep, I'm guilty of it - plenty of times, but there's popping a cherry on top and there's squirting ten cans of UHT cream with five tubs of hundreds and thousands and nine flakes, with sparklers.
...over the top.... and the price is a joke. I'm surprised at B&O Yarm for putting their name against this if I'm honest, but knowing the owners they will no doubt have a good and valid reason.
Lee
I think I just heard Jackson Pollock turn over in his grave..
Just a matter of taste!
@cooldude, I have 2 BS9000 and one of them is probably going to be "restored".
Who the hell is Pollock?
No, he's just accelerating in his coffin side to side at 100km/h.....
cooldude:They seem to have an all black version as well.
That must be the Kasimir Malevitš edition... wonder how expensive that one is.

I might do mine in the style of the Impressionists and it would get away from having to use speakers with it
we tend to forget there is more to design than designing.
Leslie: Who the hell is Pollock?
*The* drip-meister supreme, who shares real estate at MoMA with Bang & Olufsen.
Oh my god! Jackson pollock's official art group work on that or did just somebody slap his name on?
Modernist art is freaking huge now! Is it genuine? I think I might go for it!
This will make a killer corporate gift.
Anyway so so silly that B&O isn't putting these up on the site if this is indeed legit. Just shows just shows that the current people in charge are so.....

'About as legit as this.

Absolutely agree Lee.
Jep. Ridiculous price.
"Pollock"... Made by who?! Certainly not Pollock! LOL!
Jeesh....
Too long to list....
How could they put it up for sale? There's one made.

Go for it... Great way to "ruin" 20 grand.
Pollock the artist or the fish?
Jeff
I'm afraid I'm recovering from the BeoVirus.
I think this unit is more BS than BS9000 so to say. Jackson has not been with us for over fifty years and selling a unit like this for such a premium using his name makes me sad. Even if they donate "a percentage(s)" to charity. Also, that they call it special edition when it is actually an old BS9000 that has been refurbished, and not even an official special model - nor do I know of a Mk4.Anyways, thats just my thoughts.
I love this Special Edition! It looks amazing!
I do not know why people come on this forum and talk about things they have no idea about?!
Michael, a MK4 does exist! I had puchased a MK4 in 2011. They were the very last one made by B&O. It is the ones with the Power switch on. Due to EU rules B&O had to provide a manual Switch and they placed the switched back on the last ones they made! You can speak to any dealer who knows what they are talking. They will tell you that the model changed at the end!
If they are providing a 3 year warranty... I am guessing they would want to replace all parts to ensure the customer get a newish system with all brand new parts.
I love the look of this system! It looks awesome! I am considering buying this.
I have spoken to B&O and it is Legit!
I agree Leslie! It looks very good!
This is for Lee...

Lee... I suggest you speak to a B&O dealer who can tell you that after a MK3 B&O launched a new model MK4 with the power switch on.
Why are we all so negative about things here? We all know that it looks great?! I have spoken to many B&O dealers and they agree!!! Let give it the credit it deserves! I am really considering purchasing it. I like the Black Edition too!

I have a power switch on both my BS9000 and I can assure you that they are not Mk4. Besides, if the only change is some change to the power switch I can't see a reason to call it Mk4. And it doesn't really matter how it looks. I would not buy a BS9000 Picasso edition either. It is just fake.
You have a pair of very old MK1's.
Lee, I am only forwarding info I was told by B&O. The dealers class it as MK4 as it is a different mould that B&O had used to make the lastest version. Thats all.
So why change the MK's? So why call your old one's a MK1? Or why call a MK2 a MK2 and a MK3 a MK3? B&O do this I think.
Anyway... never mind! Have great Xmas Lee!

Firstly... Do you know Lee owns this forum?
Secondly, you are wrong.
Third... I guess you're the one selling it?
Yes, I know Lee owns the forum.
I am just saying what I was told! I am not wrong, I am right.
I wish I was selling it! I actually love it. I want it. :-)
GDCOHEN: I am not wrong, I am right.
I am not wrong, I am right.
As with most things it's up for debate...
That certainly is. Merry Xmas!
