I have a pair of BL4PC that I just connected to my brand new Mac mini via a 3.5mm jack. I tried a few cables but there is a lot of noise scratching the instant I plug in the 3.5mm cable!!

I am wondering whether it would be better if I got a Masterlink cable connected to a 3.5mm jack (do they exist?)

Any advice would be appreciated, as the built in speaker on the Mini is atrociously poor.

Thanks mate. My tech specialist guru says lightning have taken the IC back and beyond repair so will protably be looking for a replacement of that and see how that goes.

I do not understand what your ‘tech specialist guru’ means with ‘lightning have taken the IC back….’.

However, using one of the smaller USB DAC’s that are on the market would improve the sound dramatically (and should not create any noise.

They are relatively cheap - if you get one with volume control it will be a lot easier to adjust the sound.
