Hi, I just got my hands on Beocord 4500, I knew it has a problem, but it wasn't what I expected.When I "push" the play, drive shafts starts spinning correctly, so the belt is in a good condition (checked), but the motor, which should spin cassette reels doesn't work correctly. It spins on one direction quite good, but not the other.Is it this motor, which is kaput, or is there some other reason?And if it's the motor, where I can find the new one?
Hi, I'm looking for Beogram 4500 with a good needle.
I figured that out with a little help from Facebook. It was just outworn and hardened grease. I disassembled it and cleaned up every axis, then put new oil in. After assembling it worked like a charm. Nothing wrong with motor, otherwise than former owner told me.
