Am I able to connect a second Mac mini to my Beoviision 8-40 using HDMI cable? I use the main Mac mini, connected via HDMI as 'PC'. If I can use a second computer and HDMI what would I call it?

Many thanks

paddy

How about DVD

Just use any of the source names, that you are offered, when you set up the connection…..preferedly one that you have as hardbutton on the remote.

MM

There is a tv - and there is a BV

Thank you I will try it. I have already experimented but I realise I need another mouse and keyboard before I can use both. I don't think you can use a single mouse and keyboard to work both computers.

Hello paddy 2042, it is possible to share the screen of your second mac on your first mac, and operate it from there. The 'screen' of your second mac will then appear as a window on your first mac.

I have no idea if this is helpful (as I do not know what you want to achieve with those two macs connected to the TV). So just a hint reacting to your keyboard/mouse remark.

Regards, Johan

Johan thank you for your idea. I think I will try this. I just need a monitor to peruse, remove or shift files from an old Mac mini to another location. This should work well.

I will report back.

many thanks
