My good old Beolab 8000s (MK1 from 1992 upgraded to MK2 in 2005) have started their 2nd life in my sons basement together with his SONY TV.
The volume controlled line output from the TV is connected to the line input on the 8000s with phono cables and the 8000s are switched to "line". The sound is perfect and controllable with the TV remote.
Here comes the problem:
When the TV is set to stand by, the 8000s goes to red after approx 2,5 minutes as expected. After another 2 minutes or so, the 8000s goes back to green, and a low humming noise is present from both 8000s. The 8000s stays in this state until the TV is turned on again. The humming disappears, and sound is good again.
Any ideas on how to fix this ?
Thanks in advance.
Best regards - Dyssegaard
