I know an older gentleman with a passion for B&O, and I sometimes have to help him with his equipment.

He has a Beocenter 9500, and he has recently bought a Master Control Panel 5000.

He wants me to help him with it, because he is having some issues.

Before I go there I would like to ask if the MCP 5000 and the BC9500 are at all compatible? I suspect they are not..

"You think we can slap some oak on this thing?"

No they are not compatible at all, the only device the MCP5000 will work with is the Beomaster5000.

I suggest, he wanted to buy a two-way-remote like a Beolink 5000. A Beolink 7000 will also do. But pay attention with the displays of the 5000, they are often loose and lost contact to the mainboard. This is not repairable.
