2300 Beocenter

Hi All

I have just purchased a lovely 2300 Beocentre. It worked fine when I bought it but when I got home and set it up it will not read the CDs.

I load them and it spins for approx 2 seconds then stops.

it is not showing the CD info.

Has anybody got an idea what the problem may be please ?

Replace the laser, if it has CDM12 or CDPRO (straight line).

Raplace caps on servo board, if it has CDM4 (arc).

How do you know which one is which ? and where do you go to replace the laser.

If the laser assembly moves in a straight line it's one type if it moves in an arc it's the other
