What speakers do you have connected?

I assume you mean you have picture from the Sky box but no sound?  How and where have you connected the box to the TV?

If you press 'List' until 'Speaker' is on the BEO4, press, 1,2, or 3 depending on which speakers you have connected.  Do you now get sound?

Dave.

Or use menu to go to sound and do the hiss test. That should help determine if the problem is between the sky and the BV

Hi Dave

Right..... I've connected my BOSE speakers through the earphone socket! These work perfectly well with a DVD. No other speakers are attached!!

SKY is through the DVI-I port on the TV

I don't know if Ive switched something off in the tv settings when I connected the Sky Box!!

DVI-I port only provides picture but no sound!

You have to connect 'Sky' also via digital or analogue sound cable(s).

Hello Keith,

as far I can see in manual of BV 7-32 you can use one of the four 'DIGITAL AUDIO IN, A1-A4' to connect a coaxial cable to get sound, if video is connected via DVI-IN.

But your 'Sky' must have also a digital coaxial sound output. If it has a digital optical sound output you have to use a converter (optical to coaxial). If it has only an analogue sound output you have to use two cables and connect it to AV4 inputs L and R.

Good luck!

Hi,

if your TV SW isn't from the stoneage I would recommend you to connect your SKY box via a scart cable to e.g. AV1 or AV2 as well as to the DVI connector.

In connection menu of AV1/2 you are then able to select DVI input.
This has the advantage that audio is feed from the SCART cable.
If you ever want to control your SKY box via PUC the scart cable is also necessary for on/off sensing.

Hi Keith

You could also connect the optical out of the sky box via a optical / tosh link convertor (about £10) and connect to a av port Would give you Dolby also if you have more speakers connected.

You can choose one of the four. Just make sure that the right one is selected in menu.
Also pay attention that you select the matching PUC to your SKY box. If the right one is not in the list you might want to contact you local dealer.
