I set the remote to light mode.

Turning the wheel turns the light on, and I can adjust it up and down.

But I can not turn it off?? Any ideas?

It is controlling a LC2, and the LC2 is set to factory defaults.

I tried it also with my bosscom light dimmer, and it seems like the essence remote is only sending up/down commands when turning the wheel. Pressing the buttons does not seem to send an ir command to the dimmer.

A Lintronic box should also work. Essence remote sends function commands in LIGHT mode.

Lintronic can convert these commands.

Quite simple.

Look at the Beointegration site - technical inspiration - Essence remote key mapping.

Go to Lintronic.dk . Lintronic can receive function commands in LIGHT mode and is able to send Beo LIGHT commands like PLAY, STOP...

Should even be possible to create macros (scenes) in this way.

I don't think anybody has tried it because the Essence remote is quite new.

But I'm sure it will work...;)
