Hello,
yes, even the color buttons work. I use spotify on my bs5 all,the time like this. Just add a playlist under a color or a number on your bs5 (like adding a internetradiostation under a preset)
I tried it with a beotime and was able to timer start spotify (amem) and playlist 3 (colors are unfortunately not available in the beotime).
This is strange.
I have bv7-40 and bs5 as well.
Spotify is set as AMEM on BS5.
i suppose you can activate radio or nradio and cd/nmusic on your Bv7?
i just played around with. Play Timer works but i had to,use CD. MEM as source. I tried channel 1 and 3 ( as in favorite 1 and 3) but as you mention it started twice the same list i listened to earlier.
however once started i could change it with my beo6/beo4 to the blue list or favorite 2.
did you try Av+"spotify". With my beo6 this pre-programmed but my beo4 I had to go through the av button. My set up is bv7-40 with surround and bs5 with bl4 both in the same room.
are sure your settings,on your bv7 are all correct

mjmedlo:I could sell you my master link gateway. That'd do it!
with beo4:On the bs5 and in every linkroom: AMEM and then 2 when I hear that the music has started.
on my bv7 i have to press av amem
i just tried it even with a BL1000: ATAPE works perfect, can't select the colors though :-)
In my case on the BS5, under settings>roles>music services is set as AMEM

Correct, as I mentioned. BV7 (even my bv6) only has CDMEM as source. ATAPE, AMEM and CDMEM are the same ML commend. If I'm right cdmem was introduced when the BS3200 had the harddisk and replaced the cassette.
what I noticed as well that whatever number you enter in play timer spotifiy starts with my red list (maybe being the first saved playlist) so if you want to be awakened with a certain song put it in the beginning of the red list.
Other cheapest solution if you still can find one is a beotime if you want to start another playlist, expensive solution mlgateway

Thanks for all of the information and assistance. I guess it just is not possible to use the play timer to select a playlist. I have a Beotime. But it is not practical for starting something every day. The alarm sounds and then has to be turned off. Easier to just turn on at the BS5 or with the Beo 4.
