Dear people living in the Beoworld

I have a sound-system containing two beolab3, a Sony Bravia TV and a Playmaker.

I have connected the Playmaker LINE-IN socket and TV LINE-out socket with a Phono cable.

Now how do I make the Playmaker play through the Phono cable, and not Airplay?

Thanks in advance...

 Welcome to the forum!

Select "A.AUX" via "LIST" on your Beo4 remote and press "GO"

Thank you for the answer

But I do not have a B&O remote, and have no intention of buying one

Erm.. ... page 9 of your Plamaker manual tells ...

The inputs are prioritized - the hirearchy is:

1 - AIRPLAY
2 - DNLA
3 - LINE IN

Starting a source with higher priority will interrupt a source  lower in hierarchy
therefore.a source with higher priority must be stopped to hear a source lower in hierarchy.

I noticed that, but it does not help turning my ipad/iphone off...

I will try a phono-minijack cable tonight. See if that helps.

I Just wanna make sure I don't need a remote. I have already used enough money on extra cables and stuff, to get this system up running.

You don't have to turn the iDevice completely off - simply uncheck/de-select the Playmaker xxxxxxx in the
"Airplay List" of your iDevice (e.g. by selecting iPhone/iPad instead) and start the line source - in your case the TV.

Like the BeoSound 8 / BeoPlay A8 and BeoLit 12 the Playmaker uses "prioritisesed auto-sensing" to
switch between the inputs.

You don't need a remote to control a Playmaker, everything can be done "manually" on the unit itself or happens automatically.

Super. Thank you for the reply. We have kinda located the problem then. It must have something to do with the phono cable / TV.

I'll let your know when the problem is solved.

Just an idea ...

Are you 100% sure your Sony TV offers LINE OUT ?

A lot of today's TVs have just LINE INs and DIGITAL OUT( via Cinch or TOSLINK)

In that case you could use the headphones output of your TV as a workaround to connect to the Playmaker ...

I'm sure it offers line out yes. You know the little icon with a circle and an arrow pointing out of the circle. And then just a white and a red plug underneath.

Anyways, I have found a phono to jack cable, so I can use the headphones output as you suggest. I'll try it when I get home from work.

Dear friend,

- Unboxing a Playmaker is far less spectacular than unboxing an A3 Sad

- Imagine a very thick white ceramic plate, tilted 54 degree from horizontal
(I mesured this for you) and, with a little imagination you get the picture. Big Smile

- Is it still possible to tell "I like the product - at least for the sound" if it's not branded with a fruit logo?
I'm not so sure anymore ... Confused
