I've just installed a MLGW (the MasterLink version - not the newly released NetLink version). In using the BeoLink app on my iPad, the app keeps crashing when browsing music from the BeoSound 5. The iPad mini is only about 6 months old and has the recent software. The BeoSound 5 and the MLGW also have the latest firmware. I don't have this problem when using the NetLink app on my iPhone, however. Has anyone else encountered this issue and found a solution?
Tried to reinstall it?

I just tried your suggestion. It still crashes. I'm worried that it might have something to do with the fact that when I loaded my music library, it was when the BeoConnect was an earlier version that merely dumped all of the songs onto the hard drive instead of organizing the music into folders and subfolders as it now does. Any thoughts?
BTW, my Beo6 works fine navigating the music from the BeoSound 5.
I just closed all apps and did a hard restart on all of my iOS devices, restarted my computer, restarted my airport extreme, restarted my BLGW, and restarted my BeoSound 5. Something I did fixed the problem. The app is now working beautifully without crashing. I'm very impressed with the tablet interface of the music stored on my BeoSound 5. This alone was worth the cost of the MLGW. Now if only the app would include a similar interface for N.RADIO and Spotify....
It seems I spoke to soon. The app is again crashing. It seems that it crashes only after I have accessed the n.music stored on the BeoSound 5 / Beomaster 5. The only way to stop the crashing is to reboot the BeoSound 5 and not access it via the iPad.

I think you're on to something here. My main Airport Extreme is located in the den, but I have another Airport Extreme in the living room to use as an access point to extend the signal. I seem to recall in the instructions for using the Beo6 with the BeoSound 5 something about needing to select the specific access point that is closest to the Beo6. I'm not sure how to do that in the BeoLink App, though.
I've located the crash log for the BeoLink App and am pasting the log details of the relevant thread that crashed. Perhaps one of our computer language savvy BeoWorlders can find the problem in this log?

My system does the same thing when the MLGW is set to browse the music on the BeoSound5, when I remove this feature the app does not crash I can work everything normally, admittedly with no artwork from N.MUSIC
A few months ago, I found the reason for my app crashing: There was a song file with an unusually long track name. Such ridiculously long names can sometimes be assigned to classical and opera songs when you rip a cd into iTunes and rely on iTunes to fill in the tagging for you. After re-tagging the song with a reasonable name, the crashing problem went away.
I also have logos for n.radio stations by creating a favorites list, but I have not had any problems with it causing crashing.
w5bno123:When I opened up my BeoLink App several weeks ago and selected N.Music it no longer displayed the music from the BeoSound 5. No updates have happened on my Draytek 2820 router or Cisco access points. The product is seen on the network and other DNLA app on my iPad and it is still controlled by the app. The IP address matches, I have stripped my network and system down to just the router, app, Bsnd 5 and MLGW and still no joy Any suggestions please...
StUrrock:The problems are to do with iOS recent updates will try with an android box tomorrow
olvisab:I don't want to make the ios8 jump because I don't want to mess everything. Hope you will find the cause. beosound 5/BM5 , beosystème 4500 , beolab 1, beolab 5000, beolab 14, beolab 3500, beovision av 9000, IWS 2000, beotime, MLGW
StUrrock:http://archivedforum2.beoworld.org/forums/p/4606/41726.aspx#41726 Android app no longer available and Beolink does not work with current iOS? TOTAL joke!!
mjmedlo:I'm confused? Mine works great. Granted it's an NL gateway but the app is the same.
StUrrock:I'm confused I've got an MLGW and it don't work
No problems here.
Works with: MLGW sw 2.22, BM5 sw 7.0.3., ipad IOS 8.0.2., 2nd ipad IOS 7..., Beo6 and iphone4 with latest Beolink app update.

StUrrock:Problem now isolated, when the network cable is pulled out of the BS5, the app never crashes. Think it is loading the album info etc in NMUSIC that is causing the problem.

Under the reachable gateway, make sure you have extended timeout checked. Then reboot all devices again.
Ah, you know... A little B&O here, a little there
I have just installed Mlgw, and did have a similar problem with crashing beolink app. I found that songs with long filename seams to be the problem.
