What is material of this tip?

What have people use for replacement? (this is still present, on other deck, 5228, is not)

The round thingy at the outermost end of the lever, is a fiber pad.
I suppose there could be many ways to replace it but I like to take one of the little red fiber washers that
B&O used heavily during the 70's for circuitboard screws, cut two small and thin pieces out of it and glue
onto the metal using a good slow-setting 2-comp. epoxy (I use Araldite Standard).

As the whole copper tongue on mine (BG 1000) was gone  I made it like this with a piece of hard plastic, as Martin I glued with epoxy

Next mystery. Where did this came from?

Or is it from this (1203) at all?

I think, you should be looking for one more bronze plate, smaller than the one you already found.
If I'm not mistaken it should sit behind the other one.

And my method to solve:

An clamp, this aluminium, 1mm thick 5x6x6 inside measure

1mm groove to plastic right next to aluminium wall

Clamp to groove.

For other side, please flip pictures

Will need some finishing touch.
