I'm considering adding a Beosound Moment to my setup. I have no other B&O audio systems at present.
I have a large collection in iTunes, all in ALAC format, but at a variety of bit rates & sampling frequencies.
The bulk of this is from my RIPS of CD's - so 16bit/44Khz - but a growing amount is from Hirez sources (HD Tracks) that i've transcoded to ALAC but retained the bit depth.
The B&O spec for the Moment suggests ALAC is supported (it was;t originally right?) but describes the support as limited to "General and 88.1Khz, 96Khz"
Can anyone expand on that, and build a fuller picture. Does it support >16Bit for example?
Are the limitations down to the Moment or the Twonky DNLA software that bridges iTunes & the Moment.
Many thanks
Hi - I have 24 bits ALAC sitting on my QNAP/Twonky and perfectly rendered by the Monent
