Does any one have a V1 connected to a Direct TV Genie? I am not able to control this usung the IR codes listed on the V1. Help?
Once upon a time in the USA we had some local support, no longer do we have many local stores here.
Thanks.
Is your receiver in ir mode?
MM
There is a tv - and there is a BV
The receiver is in IR mode. If you have it connected to a DirectTV Genie, then mine should work as well.
The following are true:
1. IR from V1 will control other cable boxes like a Tivo (no longer used with the DirectTV Genie) - Yes
2. Direct TV Genie is in IR Control - Yes
3. Genie is responsive to IR Controls not to RF - Yes
4. Locate the IR Receiver window on the fromt of the Genie. - Perhaps
Do you have a B&o approved IR flasher connected to the V1 and taped on the front of the Genie?
Use a flashlight on the front of the Genie to see the location of the IR receiver. You may have the flasher in the wrong location. The range of the flasher is very short.
Hi peria,
The range of the original B&O IR flasher diodes is quite short (sometimes just a few cm). I've managed to obtain some diodes that give up to 1 metre of optical range, so if you have trouble getting the B&O ones to work, then these may help:-

I am assuming that the IR receiver on the Genie is on the left hand side?
Thanks all for your suggestions. I will try these, and if necessary order the IR blasters from Steve.
