Wierd problem has arrised. Over a period of a couple of days, my Beosound 5 will not connect to Spotify.
in red text, is says "no internet connection" when Spotify is selected, but it is connected. The Radio part works fine.

I'm the same symptoms. I do not know whether this is a temporary failure. Is there anyone who tell you how to fix ?

I also have exactly the same problem since a day. My mother board has been replaced already for a lot of money a few years ago, so I hope it's not the same problem. Are there people who found other solutions?
Just spoke with my Bang & Olufsen dealer, and they have the same problem. So maybe it's something to do with Spotify.
Same here. Had this sympton last weekend for some minutes - red line and "no internet connection".
My first thought was, somebody else in the house was accessing Spotify, but no one did.
After a few minutes Spotify came back and worked properly. I will test it once more tonight.

I have the same problem with Spotify here in the US, and my network connection says "no"... yet, n.radio works fine and I can access the BM5 via my computer. Good news: I don't think all of our main boards just faulted. Bad news: It doesn't work and will B&O still support? Personally, I blame Microsoft!

It definitely makes no sense. I rarely use Spotify from my computer, but I cannot find any "favourites" (or favorites ). I deleted my "starred items", and that didn't seem to do anything.

did anyone searched at Spotify, if it still supports Windows XP.
maybe they don't accept connections from XP.
I think you are right about Windows, if I go into the service menu, internet explorer cannot go online..
Just checked my Beosound 5. Same problem. I have been thinking about canceling Spotify as Deezer Elite sounds so much better. But I liked the functionality of Spotify on the Beosound 5. This makes the decision for me...time to cancel Spotify.

Found this post on Spotify that as of right now says it was posted 16 hours ago. Looks like the problem may not be just with Beosound 5s.

I have an Essence also. But sometimes the Beosound 5 is just more enjoyable to use. Turning the wheels and having the cover art displayed on it and enjoying the product along with the music.

I am having the same issue as mentioned by OP. A few days ago it started. It says 'No internet connection' in red text when trying to open Spotify. Also, it states 'NO' at 'Network connection'. You can tell there is actually an internet connection, because when trying to search for updates, it says there are no updates available, but when trying to search for updates without the network cable connected, it says that there is no connectivity. I didn't try to delete all my playlists in Spotify, yet. I have a lot! Also, about a week ago, the loading of the playlists started to take up more time then usual (couple of minutes, instead of a few seconds).
I hope they find a solution for this Spotify problem.

Could be possible to make a free trial period account with no playlist, just to check!
Spotify support sent me some test log in credentials to try. The same error problem occurred with the log in Spotify asked me to try.
It is working again, connection is saying "yes", and Spotify is running. Playlist is loading slow, but working !!!
