I am trying to connect a Beolab 3500 to a Sonos connect (just as a speaker)

First question which cables? (Din 5 to RCA or Din 7 to RCA or another solution). I think my Beolab 300 is MK1 but it got a software upgrade.

Second question, as I understand I have to use my Beo4 to set the Beolab 3500 in MCL mode. Is there a way to make it stay like that, so I do not have to set it again every time it sets down or get in standby?

Also I have made a test with a jack Din 7 to play directly out of my iPad. Strangely when connected to the iPad the MCL mode stays on for just one second and the Beolab turns off. But when I set to MCL first then connects the jack to the ipdad it works. Of course this is not good for the speaker as during the connection process all kinds of weird loud cracks occur

Thanks everybody for any help / insight
