Hi guys. A question for Eclipse owners regarding external HDD for recording. I have had several different portable drives connected and all of them are making high pitch noises from being constantly read by the TVs software. It is driving me nuts. Have anybody experiencing the same? I have also tried to connect a USB flash drive instead but the TV tells me that it does not support it for recording

Invest in an SSD!
Have you tried if the Eclipse will accept a SSD? It is also an expensive solution should I want 500 gigabyte.
I've had the same anoying noise issue. I've change my WD harddisk to a SSD-drive thrue USB. I't just works perfect.

Same here Miki - Seagate portable HDD 1tb. Noiseless to all intents and purposes.
