How can I run two digital inputs from BS9000 (for CDSs) and Core (for Tidal) to BL 5s?  (I understand that i need to add a optical to coax convertor between Core and BL 5s but still there is only one digital input into the BL 5).  Is there a slitter that I can use?

Perhaps pickup a digital/optical audio switcher from Amazon.

Good luck Beoaus

Hi,

You could use a digital output switch which includes the toshlink to coax convertor:

https://www.cs1.net/products/audio_authority/1177A-1-.htm

I am curious what settings you will use for the BL5. If connected to B&O equipment the digital port will only function if the source "CD" is selected (and communicated via powerlink). You will set it up using option 4?

Regards,

Dennis

The Core has a digital-out as well as a digital-in!

This example could help finding your solution.

(Of course you will need two coax to optical converters there).

Hi,

I have the same configuration but I have a BeoSound / BeoMaster 5 additionaly connect by Masterlink. My retailer told me to buy this optical-coax-converter to use it with digital-out (Core) and digital-in of my BeoLab 5. BeoSound 9000 and BeoSound Core are connected via Powerlink to an Almando Switch which connects my both or three devices to BeoLab 5. This should be the ultimate solution to connect old and new devices like my retailer told me. B&O recommends to connect BeoSound Core via optical-coax-converter. But in my case I got white-noise and it don‘t care if BeoSound 9000 or Core is playing. I‘ve got this problem since I‘ve bought Core last year and neither my retailer nor B&O-support are in the condition to help but there is an unsolved support-case at B&O. I would wait till my problem is solved because this is a known problem and affects all BeoLab 5 / BeoSound Core setups... I will give a feedback when there is a solution...

Greetings from northern germany
