I want to connect a 1st generation Apple TV to my BeoCenter 1 using a SCART input on the rear.  I know that I can buy a cable to plug into the 3 component video out and 2 audio out sockets on the ATV with a SCART socket on the other end to plug into the Beocenter 1.

The questions is will the Beocenter accept the component video signal?

Hi

No I'm afraid that wont work you need either buy a convertor or jailbreak the atv this gives the option to output in composite which the beovision 1 can display

Thanks kai.  So could I also use a HDMI to composite SCART converter?

Although it was dealing with an ATV1 and BS2 it applies to ATV1 and any scart connection to a TV.
