Hello!
I have (had) them both (3rd TV after 2 Mk1 - now Mk2)
From my point of view the Mk2 has a better picture quality (although only edge lit) and come with the HEVC decorder which means that you can watch 4k without any external device;
as written above the Mk2 runs on Android which does not do a good job; many features are lost (eg Stand: different positions are possible but TV does always start up with the same position - no difference between audio or video); Netflix - if prefered - is not offered which means the remote looks better; often TV does not start up - black screen for minutes till is does a self-reset; epg is not shown properly
for me most important change: TV comes with 2 CI-slots; Mk1 is able to distinguish between them - you can use 2 different CI (2 different pay-TV broadcasters) - the Mk2 can only use the second slot for recording another scrambled program; so you can only use the slots with the same pay-TV to watch and record different programs
best regads

Buy the MK1 version plus Nvidia Shield TV (pro) or an Amazon Fire TV or Apple TV.

BeoVision harmony 77 would I look on :)
Agreed - as an owner of the Avant MK1, it has no 4K problems.
Yes its not HDR, but then again neither is the MK2.
Mikipidia:What 4k hardware problems does the Mk1 avant have??? I honestly have no idea what you’re saying here or why. My friend has one and works perfectly fine

Thank you all so much this was very helpful for me.
i have decided to purchase an 2015 first generation AVANT 75 with less hours on it. Putting my bv7 in the bedroom. Having a multi room system still working with master link radio, I am not sure if I will connect the master link radio system in the multi rooms or will choose for the beosound Core to use internet radio (podcast or spotify) on the Avant in the living room.
what can you recommend please, Core ore are there better options?
have a great New Years Eve to all.

If the functions of the BS Core is what you’d need for multiroom, you could connect this to a free input on your ML audiosystem (which you obvisiously still have).
Hereafter you can listen to the sources of the Core on the ML and link the Core to the Avant (please ask, if you don’t know howto).
This solution is described in this thread:
https://archivedforum2.beoworld.org/forums/p/38878/295479.aspx#295479
and seems to fit your needs well.
By the way - there is Internet Radio built in to the Avant!
MM
There is a tv - and there is a BV
Hello MM
THX this is what my plan is to connect it on the ML system so I have a multiroom upstairs on my bv11
What i didnt like to have is putting the avant on and choose the source and switch it of later on when the Musik is playing. So I want a direct sound fi. When you put radio it directly plays internet radio source (whitout i have to Switch The tv off)
I suppose this is what you also mean?

You are now writing about a ‘bv11 upstairs’ - is that yet another tv, or did you mean the BV7-55, that you mentioned earlier???
Really everything you need to do is in the thread, that I linked to in the previous post!
Please describe your setup in detail - that is important for any further advice.
