When I select the Aux input, my Beocenter 9000 turns on and displays "1 2 3 4 and 8" in the preset/track number display. The Aux input works fine and these numbers stop displaying after about 2-3 seconds. I found no reference to this in the original manual. Is this some legacy programming or an error code?

Hi CaptRoger,

The BeoCenter 9000 and 9500 were designed to be connected to a BeoVision via their AUX input, to allow audio sources to be shared with the video system, and the sound of video sources to be shared with the audio system.

The numbers displayed when you press AUX correspond to different sources: TV, V.TAPE, SAT, etc.

Number 8 refers to the microphone input on the front panel of the BeoCenter under the lower touchpad. So if you press AUX then 8, it will select the mic input (0.25 inch jack).

As Lawrence said above but the full list is as follows:

AUX 1 - TV

AUX 2 - V.TAPE

AUX 3 - SAT (or DTV)

AUX 4 - CDV (or DVD)

AUX 5 - V.TAPE.2 (I think this may be BC9500 only)

AUX 8 - MICROPHONE

This functionality enables you to select the above options using the Beocenter's front panel, rather than a remote.
