Beosound 9500 to passive speakers via passive link

I recently bought a second hand beosound 9500 with beolab 6000 speakers, i also bought a passive link connection box to connect an older set of B & O passive speakers, I got a Passive Link cable from Sounds Heavenly in the UK, but I cannot get the passive speakers to work. What am i missing?

Hopefully you didn't also make that mistake when ordering from Sounds Heavenly.  Different beasts altogether.  Does your "passive link connection box" look like this?  I.e., not just a connection box, but an actual amplifier with a heat sink:

To hook up to that, you need a fully-wired ("thick") PowerLink cable.  But if you had said cable, you would have used it to hook up the BL6000's instead, right?.  There are many threads on this, which you can find by asking your favorite search engine "beolink passive to beosound 9000 for external speakers".  You'll get answers, like these:
