I recently bought a second hand beosound 9500 with beolab 6000 speakers, i also bought a passive link connection box to connect an older set of B & O passive speakers, I got a Passive Link cable from Sounds Heavenly in the UK, but I cannot get the passive speakers to work. What am i missing?

Hopefully you didn't also make that mistake when ordering from Sounds Heavenly. Different beasts altogether. Does your "passive link connection box" look like this? I.e., not just a connection box, but an actual amplifier with a heat sink:

To hook up to that, you need a fully-wired ("thick") PowerLink cable. But if you had said cable, you would have used it to hook up the BL6000's instead, right?.
