I have had a beovision 32” Avant from new in 2000. I have used it with both sky box and more recently a virgin TVIO box both with Scart, however I recently got the new Virgin V6 box that has no scart and only HDMI,

I eventually bought a new smart TV but now want to use the 32" Avant with a iVeiw HD box that has a scart connector but can’t get the TV to see the STB i have tried to change the input on the tv setup / connections menu. Both the AV STB (V.AUX) and the Decoder STB (SAT) menus offer a long list of STB models but no mention of  iView, i am not very 'techy' so any advice would be warmly welcomed.

many thanks

You will not find an iView in the STB list because in the original AVANT they were physical chips which defined the set top boxes it could control. B&O stop producing updated STB chips for the AVANT years ago and you can see the last available HERE

Later B&O TV's had PUC's which could be updated.

Your best option is to find out what IR (Infra-red) protocol is used and use a box with the same protocol which will give you at least the basic commands
