Hello and thanks for having me.

I recently acquired a Beogram 2000 and have a couple of questions.  I have searched and searched but my limited brain is not pulling up the answers :).

Can you manually move/start on a track of your choosing?  I don't know were to grab it or if the mechanism allows you to pick up and move it.  I know it is a silly question but I rarely want to listen to a full side of every record.

Also, should the player make a click noise as it is turning?  Never audible when it is playing through speakers.  I only noticed it when I was setting it up and putting on the new belt.  Sounds consistent like it it the mechanism at work.

Thanks and again, I appreciate the help.

Push the tonearm to where you want to start listening, and press PLAY.
Use QUE to lift the tonearm while playing, push the tonearm with a finger to where you want to go and press PLAY (or QUE again).

The deck makes a small click when you press start, but it should then run silent.
If the motor makes a noise it's probably because its rubber suspensions have dried out allowing the motor to sag down.
Ask at Beoparts for replacement suspensions and a new belt.

Is the click noise from the motor or platter ? I had a BG2000 with clicking noise from the motor, where I needed to disassemble the motor(not easy, they are not designed to be serviced), and there was a plastic piece that was loose, which caused it to hit the magnets when it turned.

Glued it back together, and noise was gone.
