Hi Beoworlders,

Did you know that Beolit 17 and 20 have a hidden menu option?  Or that they can be used in a multi-room B&O setup?  Find out all the details in this video! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aRmEwYd6y7c

Kind regards, Steve.

Sure I/we know...

Last time it was discussed here was not long ago (and is not just for the 17/20).

But thanks anyway for bringing this up again - expands the usability of these (small) speakers.

There is a tv - and there is a BV

I wouldn’t call it Multiroom, as this refers to a NL setup and not a Masterlink setup. Your video confirmed me once again that the Beolit would actually got his full potential if it had NL capabilities.

BV Harmony 65 / Eclipse 55 / BL 50 / 19 / 18 / BS 2 all brass

BV Horizon 48 / V1 40 / BL 17 / Beoplay S3 all black

V1 / BL 3 / BS Essence MKII / Beoplay A3 all white

BS Moment / BS 3000 / BS 3200 / BL 400 all silver

Headphones / bluetooth speakers / BLC NL-ML / BLGateway

I know…B&O virus has grown on me !

Pretty interesting but it makes me sad they didn’t incorporate WiFi in tandem with Bluetooth. Would have made it a perfect speaker.

The level has it but it’s expensive and fragile in its design whereas the beolit is really easy to bring with you. Let’s hope for new iteration soon.

Good video though and nice explanation.

Thanks guys,

I agree that this isn't true Multiroom (unless you add a Core?) but the potential of these great little speakers really increases once you get them linked onto an ML or MCL network.  I would love to see wi-fi or Airport Express support native within a future Beolit (or as an add-on module to the existing models?)

Even with Bluetooth and a line input, they can be really flexible and practical speakers.

Kind regards, Steve.

True but kind of defies the purpose when a core has to be added to a higher price than the device itself I think. I want the beolit to be completely wireless and uncomplicated. But I guess in time there will be a more clever design.

It’s a bit funny because I have a 12 and a 15, they both have connectivity but in so different ways. With a more clever design it would be meaningful in a multi room environment. I like being able to carry my portable speakers around. Especially when used in a social event. Having to fiddle with cables and connections isn’t optimal then. But yeah, being able to cable link it does give flexibility but not as much.
