This beocord won't turn on and stays in standby mode. The PS is working and I have not found any out of spec voltages . Is this IC failure or could it be the switches ? Thanks
Hello. Are you sure the units getting power? If so then I will update this

Keyboard connected? Some decks have a fuse under the keyboard. Have you checked?Does it go into standby when you connect mains?

Yes its always in stand by . I have to remove #1 board to get to the key board #7 right? I recapped one these 10 years ago I forgot how I got how to get board #1 out . Working on it
I'm getting 4.8v on either side of the fuse to ground . Its on Board #1
I seem to have all voltages but unit still won't turn on. I was able to source IC 7 &8 (board 1). I replace IC 8 with no change. I'm waiting IC 7. Can some explain to me how the unit turns on when the mains is plug in ? and any reasons why it won't turn on when plug in . thanks
I replaced IC 8 and the unit turned on and cassette motor is running. I have UUUU error message on the display, key pad doesn't work nor does record open, mem+ ,record lights. I can manually engage the tape heads and there is a motoring boating sound in left the rights play but weak. So the short answer is bad IC. My question is would problems in the audio amp cause these problems , namely the error message and unresponsive key pad? IC7 and IC9 appear to be good. thanks
the motor boating sound in the left channel is the cassette motor.
