Hi Beoworlders,
Should you choose Beolab 6000 or Beolab 8000? This video lets you hear both speakers for yourself and gives you the information you need to make the right choice! https://youtu.be/9ANIweC8RgQ
Please let me know what you think!
Kind regards, Steve.

I think this is my favorite video from you so far, Steve. Your analysis was unexpected, but absolutely spot-on!
I own a couple of pairs of each speaker, and absolutely agree with your assessment. Both sound fantastic, and both have their own place.

That is an interesting question, which I will be covering in a future video. Basically, I would start with the AVR crossover set at 120Hz as this is the frequency at which Dolby surround sound formats start to direct bass to the LFE channel. Depending on the room, it can be worth trying alternative frequencies of 100Hz or even 80Hz, but it these sound substantially different then there may be other factors affecting the sound, for example subwoofer positioning, or the sub being out of phase.
Hope that helps! Full details to follow soon on video....
