Tonight I tried to setup my new stage with an Apple TV. I wanted to stream tv from my iPad to the Apple TV and sound to the stage via Bluetooth. The B&O software directed me to setup, and then to finish google home via WiFi. What if you didn’t have wifi? I’ve never used and will never use google home so why am I using this software to setup a device with purely Apple products?. I couldn’t finish the setup as it couldn’t find any google home devices.

What madness is this.

I think Apple insists to send audio over Airplay, not Bluetooth.

Also, you'll have better performance if you have the AppleTV do the streaming and send audio from the AppleTV to the Stage.  This is the setup I've been using since I got my first Beosound Essence II about 5 years ago.

When I try screen sharing from my phone to the AppleTV it does work, but is not nearly as reliable.

So basically set the AppleTV to output to the Stage over Airplay, then use the AppleTV interface to choose your video stream and let the AppleTV do all the work.

Speakers: 3x Beolab 8000 • 2x Beolab 6000 • 2x Beolab 3 • 3x Beolab 2
Integrated:  1x Beosound 2 • 1x Beosound Level • 4x BeoPlay M5 • 1x BeoPlay A6
Control:  16x* Essence Remote  • 1x Beoremote Halo

* Yes, really! 🤦‍♂️
