Hi guys.
a little advice if possible.
I have a pair of active beolab Penta speakers which i have previously run from a beocenter 9000 (both circa 1989).
My question may be somewhat naive - but i am wondering if i can purchase a turntable that i can plug directly into my speakers (as they have their own amps). i no longer use the beocenter 9000.
If so can anybody advise on a compatible turntable this would be a major help before i try to buy one. My current speaker leads have 4 pins, one flat and three "needle" shaped.
I can only see this working if the turntable has some way to control the volume it outputs.

Stoobie is quite correct, the Penta only has power amplifiers, so you would need a preamplifier, unless you can find a turntable with built-in preamp with volume control. Also the displays in the Penta's would not work.
