Hi all,

In my ML-network I have a Beomedia 1 with a lot of music files. In every room I can use N.MUSIC and N.RADIO.

In my livingroom I have a BS5e, connected to the A.AUX of a BS4, which is connected to a NAS with hundreds of musicfiles.

Of course I can copy all the files from the Beomedia 1 to the NAS, but I want also use the Beomedia1 HDD content for netmusic in linkrooms without using a iPad or iPhone, and use my BS5e.

Is it even accessable with the app Creation 5 (I have this app)?

Can I also use the NAS in combination with the Beomedia 1.

Do I need to install some software on the Beomedia 1 (like Twonky eg.)?

My question to you if it is possible to select the BM1 as source for the BS5e and which steps I have to make. So no use of a NAS but the HDD from the Beomedia 1.

I hope there is someone here who can help me.

A lot of questions, but probably you can help me with the start.

Thanx in advance!

Kind regards,

Beofan53

Hi Beofan53,

to access the files on the BeoMedia via BS5E a DLNA-server must be running on the BeoMedia.

If you can see any from the BS5E or from the Creation app, it already has one installed.

You can't use the NAS (means the server on the NAS) from your BeoMedia.

I can't imagine the BeoMedia acting as a renderer/DLNA-player!

You can only access one server at a time from the BS5E - means: you would have to change the settings every time you want to access the other one.

How about copying your files to the HD of the BeoMedia (if enough space)? You wrote that the HD "is accessable from the Creation-app)

I don't know if this answers your questions?

Greetings Millemissen

You could copy the content from the beomedia to the nas. Then add a folder in your BM-Music folder, which points at the nas.

So, when then bm1 reads its music folder, it actually reads the music on the nas.
