1. The Beogram 5000 does not use a brushless motor. You cannot lubricate it properly without taking it apart - and they rarely need lubricating, once every 20 years or so.If you drenched it yearly in something, however, that may need cleaning out by now.2. Check the transport safety screws and then the platter height adjustments.4. Use no solvent on acryllic. Nail varnish remover is acetone, it attacks most plastic products irreversibly.Use plastic-polish and elbow grease.5. No good plastic polish products are cheap. I use Novus products, #2 for polising and #1 for final cleaning. #3 is for more serious scratches but I rarely use it.

The magnet is sitting in the deck top plate, the acrylic cover has a steel angle glued to it
Collecting Vintage B&O is not a hobby, its a lifestyle.
I checked the service manual but there's no mention of the bulb, undoubtedly because it's a shared manual with other model turntables that don't have the lid light.
ouverture:any ideas on how I replace the bulb in the lid without causing too much damage ?
When you open the lid, simply pull the small black plastic cover under the lamp down. Use your nail or a small screwdriver. Then you have access to the bulb.
Hope this Picture will help...

The lamp: take out the white lamp socket from the black support, pull out the lamp. I did a thread once about BG 5000 but now I dont find it. Archived forums
