Does the v1 have a sleep timer?

No, but you can put it in a power off mode in 1,2,3,4 hour increments. Meaning it will power off if no buttons are touched in the listed time frame. 

Ah, you know... A little B&O here, a little there

Actually it DOES have a sleep timer. Press LIST on your Beo4 until you see SLEEP in the display. If it is not available you can add it. Thats another story however.

When you have SLEEP on your display, just hit the GO-button (joystick click) and you will see a time on the screen, press again to increase the time.
